CDC Local Plan 2042 - Site near the Bladon Roundabout
We campaigned against the inclusion of a site in the Cherwell District Council (CDC) Local Plan 2042 but CDC has retained the site in their Local Plan. This is the site near the Bladon roundabout (near Perdiswell Farm) which CDC say could accommodate 450 dwellings. The Blenheim Estate has meanwhile applied for planning permission to build up to 500 dwellings on the site .
Woodstock Surgery
The Woodstock Town Council has voted unanimously to express a preference for a new surgery to be located at the old Thames Valley Police site on Hensington Road. C-POW supports the Town Council in this matter because we believe that the TVP site is more convenient for Woodstock residents than other potential sites (Banbury Road and Perdiswell Farm) and a new surgery could be built there much more quickly. McCarthy Stone applied for planning permission to build retirement homes on that site but WODC refused permission. McCarthy Stone has appealed against that decision and in due course that appeal will be heard by the Planning Inspectorate.
